I love Fred Williamson when he's in front of the camera. But when he steps behind it to direct? Holy crap, look out. I've already covered his last film, Vegas Vampires, in exhaustive detail. But Mean Johnny Barrows was his first effort. Maybe he peaked somewhere in the middle?
And before you ask, yes, the music is different. It's from the film. I really dig the soundtrack and wanted to feature it, so there.
So The Beach Girls is a perfectly good early 1980s T&A beach flick (okay, not really) but right in the middle of some hot boob action there's this totally ridiculous and completely unnecessary fight scene between two supporting characters who are just gross stereotypes. Enjoy!
Rhinestone is remembered as a huge box office disaster that in reality is pretty bipolar. There are some genuine laughs in this movie coupled with some of the worst moments ever committed to film. This scene is one of the latter.
I didn't get very far into this overseas stinker starring David Arquette and Famke Janssen. Once I saw the scene I've posted here, I believe I ripped the DVD out of the player in disgust.
And let's pretend just for a moment that this even could happen in any realm of reality. Um... you haven't escaped anything you idiot. Now all the police have to do is pull over the truck you've landed on.
Another one of those "WTF?!" scenes from a truly wretched TV-movie of the 1970s. Gargoyles come to life in the desert and start kidnapping people. One gargoyle wants to see a hottie's boobies but then the king gargoyle (played by Bernie Casey!) intervenes. One hug and one butt slap later, everything is back to normal in Gargoyle-land.
I am a Twin Peaks fan, but not a David Lynch fan. Figure that one out.
This
brief moment from the Twin Peaks movie FIRE WALK WITH ME is one of the
reasons that people look at his work and just can't wrap their heads
around it.
